Umbrella Insurance
What is Umbrella Insurance?
For usually small premiums umbrella insurance offers you extra protection on your home and auto coverage. Umbrella insurance helps you by covering amounts higher than your existing policy will cover. This could come from a major catastrophic event or even being sued.
Umbrella policies typically cover:
- Any overages that exceed your primary coverage from liability judgments.
- If your child or pet causes physical injury, mental injuries and/or property damage.
- Legal fees and defense costs.
Umbrella policies don't typically cover:
- Intention damages or acts.
- Any liability claims that are related to your business. If that case you will need to look into getting a business insurance policy.
